Additional Living

The long-time owners of this Heritage Hill home sought to expand their 1900's era house by adding a two-story screened porch and balcony along with extensive interior modifications to the dining room and an adjacent sitting area. Working under the watchful eye of the HH Historical Preservation Commission, we enhanced both the home and the neighborhood.

Falling Water

As an homage to Frank Lloyd Wright's FallingWater we recently designed and built our own water feature at the Amberg House. The cantilevered decks mimic the dramatic promontories of the Kaufmann House (albeit on a much smaller scale.) The water circulates from a small "dry pond" covered with Mexican beach rocks up to a concealed spillway.

A pantry for the ages

This 1890's Victorian had a vast kitchen with no opportunity to add to the line of cabinets. Bulky items like the bread machine and the Costco paper towels were relegated to far away closets and the laundry room. To solve the problem we built a 5'x 6' walk-in pantry with floor to ceiling shelves.
